Amber started a private PreK class in 2014, which later turned into Little Arrows Christian School. Over the years the program has developed, expanded, and even relocated, but it continues to remain focused on Biblical learning and child development through both preschool classes (PreK3 & PreK4) and after-school programs! As a former teacher at EBISD, Amber has great relationships with the staff and administration, creating a seamless transition between the Little Arrows programs and the public school. Little Arrows has a proven record of sending children fully prepared into Kindergarten, and Amber has more years of accumulated teaching experience than any other preschool teacher around!

Amber began her career with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Drafting Technology, which she used to work in the Engineering department of a local government office for almost five years. Deciding that a desk job was not her career of choice and wanting to return to working with children (as she had during HS and college), Amber went back to school to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Houston. She used her teaching degree and certification to work as a third grade teacher at East Bernard Elementary for a number of years. Then she wanted to challenge herself even further and also set an example for her family, so Amber once again returned to school to complete her Master’s Degree in School Administration from Lamar University. After eight years teaching in the public school system, she finally decided to pursue her personal dream of beginning an independent Pre-K ministry.

Amber is married to Stephen Karasek, who was the "backbone" of making this business dream become a reality. Stephen is an Electronics Technician, a handy-man, a jack-of-all-trades, and an amazing Christian dad. Amber and Stephen have been married now for over 26 years and have three children, Cheslee Vacek (25, Married, Bio-Medical Engineering Degree from A&M), Paetyn (21, Architectural Major at A&M), and Bryton (19, Engineering Major at A&M). They also welcomed their very first grand-daughter this year!

Amber has been extremely involved in the EB community, as she and her husband brought up three children through the public school system here. All of their children were heavily involved in local community activities, clubs, sports, work opportunities, and volunteer programs. She and her family are long-standing members of the local Simonton Community Church, and have been heavily involved there in children’s ministry, youth ministry, women's ministry, men's ministry, and missions activities over the years.

Amber loves camping, country dancing, reading, crocheting, and traveling. She prefers quaint settings over large social gatherings. Her biggest ‘bucket list’ items are to travel the world (too many places to list here!), to earn a doctorate degree, and to become a published author of children's books one day! Amber's best friend is her husband and she loves spending time with her immediate family above everything else!
